With over 25 years of leadership experience spanning operations, training, and wellness, Capt. Smitha Naidu brings a rare blend of discipline, empathy, and creative strategy to Wishful Woods. A former officer in the Indian Army and a seasoned healthcare operations professional, Smitha now leads the resort’s guest experience, brand presence, and wellbeing initiatives with thoughtful precision.

At Wishful Woods, she is responsible for shaping every touchpoint of the guest journey—blending comfort, care, and storytelling into a seamless experience. From curating wellbeing-led retreats to overseeing brand communication, social media narratives, public relations, and external partnerships, Smitha ensures the resort's image reflects its core values: warmth, authenticity, and conscious living.

Her global exposure in managing people, processes, and customer engagement enables her to build a hospitality culture that is both refined and personal. Under her leadership, the Wishful Woods experience is not only about a beautiful stay—but about how guests feel, remember, and reconnect.

Sukumar Subramaniam

Director – Operations & Experience Excellence, Wishful Woods

With over 20 years of leadership experience in operations, regulatory compliance, and process innovation, Sukumar Subramaniam oversees the seamless functioning of guest experiences and back-end operations at Wishful Woods. His focus lies in designing systems that balance operational efficiency with warm, personalized hospitality—ensuring every guest encounter is effortless, safe, and memorable.

Sukumar brings a deep understanding of structured service delivery, having led multi-market transformation initiatives across customer-centric sectors before taking the lead in shaping the operational backbone of Wishful Woods. He also oversees resource planning, commercial oversight, and cross-functional alignment—ensuring decisions support both guest satisfaction and long-term business viability.

Recognized for his cross-functional leadership and attention to detail, Sukumar has been instrumental in aligning the resort’s operational vision with its commitment to sustainability, comfort, and boutique luxury.
